Arkansas Window Tint Law Overview
Arkansas window tint laws are based on net light transmission, meaning the amount of visible light that passes through the glass and window film combined.

Front Side Windows: Must allow at least 25% net light transmission.
Rear Side Windows: Must allow at least 25% net light transmission.

Medical Exemptions
Arkansas does allow medical exemptions for certain tint applications. Full windshield tint requires a valid physician’s certification stating that the tint is in the best interest of the motorist. With a medical exemption, the windshield must allow at least 50% net light transmission, and the required documentation must be kept inside the vehicle.
Tint laws can vary depending on vehicle type, factory glass, and medical exemptions.
